About Keltie Campers Ltd
Keltie Campers Ltd is a specialist leisure vehicle electrical workshop based in Callander, Perthshire. We design and install off-grid electrical systems, carry out electrical repairs and diagnostics, and service campervans, motorhomes and caravans to NCC standards.
We are not a general campervan garage. Electrical systems — off-grid power, lithium batteries, solar, Victron installations, fault finding and system upgrades — are what we do. It is the only thing we do, and we do it properly.
Scotland's Victron Approved Installer for Leisure Vehicles
Keltie Campers Ltd is Scotland's Victron Approved Installer for leisure vehicles. Victron Energy is one of the most respected manufacturers of off-grid power equipment in the world, with products used in marine, commercial and off-grid installations globally.
Approved installer status means we are qualified to design and install Victron systems to the manufacturer's recommended practices, with full access to Victron's configuration tools, VRM monitoring portal and technical support. It also means we hold stock of Victron equipment and can source replacements and parts efficiently.
We Use What We Install
Our own campervan has been running a fully gas-free electrical system for more than three years — lithium batteries, solar charging, Victron inverter power for cooking, heating from diesel. The vehicle is used regularly for extended travel including winter trips to Spain and Portugal, and touring throughout the UK and Highlands.
This isn't a detail we mention for marketing purposes. It means every system we design is informed by real experience of how these systems actually perform across different conditions, climates and usage patterns — not just in a workshop environment.
STGW Gas Certification
In addition to electrical work, we hold STGW (Standards of Training in Gas Work) certification — the NCC-recognised qualification for caravan industry gas work. This covers gas system inspection, servicing and safety checks on privately owned touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans as part of our habitation servicing work.
Vehicles We Work On
We carry out work on campervans, motorhomes, caravans, horseboxes, racetrucks and specialist leisure vehicles. Each vehicle is different and each system is designed around how that specific vehicle is used.
Workshop Location
Our workshop is based in Callander, Perthshire — centrally located just 45 minutes from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and within easy reach of Perth, Stirling and the Highlands. All work is carried out at the workshop. Workshop visits are by appointment.
